About Me

I am Nader Sayadi, a student, researcher, educator, and enthusiast in history of built environment and material culture. I am also a part-time traveler and backpacker, day-dreamer, and writer.
I am currently a PhD student in art history at the University of Texas at Austin (I was formerly a student in the Buildings-Landscapes-Cultures (blc) program at the School of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I have educational and professional background in architectural history, historic preservation and architectural design. Moreover, I have been the instructor and teaching assistant of a number of underground courses in architecture. My current research interest is the bilateral relationship between the goods production networks and craft landscapes from the Pax Mongolica to the dawn of the modern industrial era in the Middle East and Central Asia.
